For this paper, you will use an appropriate critical lens/method to critically analyze
a television program. In addition to demonstrating your knowledge of the concepts
related to your selected lens, you should try to make original observations and
arguments about the program. You may analyze a few episodes, an entire season, or
an entire series of a program – whatever it takes to support your thesis.
Your paper should have the following sections. The page lengths next to each
section are just suggestions.
1. Introduction (1 page)
2. Description of the Program (1 page)
3. Description of the Lens/Concept/Method (2 pages)
4. Analysis (3 pages)
5. Discussion (3 pages)
All papers are DUE ON MAY 3. However, you may have to present your paper as a
work-in-progress if you are assigned an earlier presentation date.
