The increasing tension between China and Taiwan, with China putting pressure on Taiwan for reunification. Taiwan's President Tsai Ing-wen has vowed to resist this pressure, but China maintains that Taiwan is a part of China. The document highlights the risk of this conflict escalating and potentially leading to a 3rd World War, given the involvement of other nations and the ideological differences between capitalism and communism. The author draws parallels with how previous World Wars started and expresses concern about the unpredictability of the situation, given China's projected rise to become the most powerful nation in the world.

Row Heading 1 Are we facing a 3rd^ World War? Talmazan, Yuliya. “Taiwan Will Not Bow to China Pressure, President Says after Beijing Reunification Call.” NBCNews.com , NBCUniversal News Group, 10 Oct. 2021, www.nbcnews.com/news/world/taiwan-will-not-bow-china-pressure-president-says- after-beijing-n1281178. According to Talmazan, the tension between China and Taiwan are getting worse. Beijing is putting a lot of pressure towards Taiwan, but Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen, won’t let that happen. This was the Presidents statement after China vowed for a reunification with their counterpart since 1949. Following the speech to celebrate Taiwan’s National Day a parade of Taiwan’s defensives was shown to make this statement even stronger. Taiwan will continue to bolster their defenses, still with the hope that this conflict between these countries will decrease and return to a normal state. China’s point of view is very different. They rejected the statements of Taiwan’s President, saying that Taiwan is still a part of China and it is important connect back to the “Motherland.” I think it is a very risky and scary subject that is not really taking a good path at all. Since it is Capitalism vs. Communism, a lot of Nations will get involved if this tension between China and Taiwan will go overboard. Looking back at history, if we analyze how World Wars started, I can clearly see similarities and that makes me feel very uncomfortable, because I know America is already having conflicts with Bejing. Since experts say that China will become the most powerful Nation in the world, it is very unpredictable how this situation will continue to develop. Taiwan could be to trigger to a probable 3. World War.
