Exploring Brain Functions: Occipital, Temporal, Parietal, and Frontal Lobes, Lecture notes of Human Biology

A creative and catchy exploration of the functions of the four main lobes of the brain: the occipital, temporal, parietal, and frontal lobes. Through various poems and rhymes, readers learn about the roles each lobe plays in sight, hearing, touch, and thinking.

What you will learn

  • How does the temporal lobe contribute to hearing?
  • How do the lobes of the brain work together to help us process information?
  • What role does the parietal lobe play in touch?
  • What is the function of the occipital lobe in the brain?
  • What is the primary function of the frontal lobe?

THE LOBE SONG

Frontal Lobe it helps you think you can talk in just a blink. Parietal Lobe, it helps you touch, just be sure you don’t touch too much! Temporal Lobe is next, just listen to my text. Temporal Lobe helps you hear, you can hear from far or near. Occipital Lobe is last; it helps you see things that are vast. You use your lobes everyday, they help you think, see, hear, and say!

front of the brain it helps

You got to see… which helps you think… and

in turn… you’ve got to hear… which helps

you know what you’re going to feel… you

got the side, front, back,

side to side and top, …

you’ve got the fron-tal, pa-ri-e-tal, oc-ci-pi-

tal, and tem-per-al lobes… You got to

see… which helps you think… and in

turn… you’ve got to hear… which helps you

know what you’re going to feel.
