Dear Students, to keep growing your abilities to be creatively expressive, you can begin playing the game of COPYCAT! Pick a character from a TV show, or a Movie, and your parents can help you think of which character to choose. For example, you may choose Spongebob from Spongebob Squarepants, or Bubbles from Powerpuff Girls, or El Chavo from El Chavo Del Ocho, and so on for Television Characters. Once you have CHOSEN your television character, you will then play THREE episodes with that character in them, and you will COPYCAT your chosen character. If you chose a Movie Character, simply play the Movie. To COPYCAT your character simply means that whenever they talk, you COPY what they say and you do your BEST to say it HOW they say it, out loud. Your goal is to TRY and impersonate their “style” of talking. You may or may not sound just like them but what matters most is simply that you PLAY the COPYCAT game for your THREE TV episodes, or ONE MOVIE. As you TRY to copy the character, you will push your voice box to find new ways of sounding and expressing. Plus, it is silly fun! Feel free to challenge yourself to do this in ONE go, or pause every 15-30 minutes as needed ☺ Optional Extension Activities If you feel up for the challenge, after completing this activity with ONE character, pick something where you can try to be TWO characters from the SAME TV show or Movie. This can challenge you to go “back-and-forth,” for example, between Spongebob and Squidward, or Iron-Man and Thanos, or Rapunzel and her Mother!
