Tally of results

Short serve ////////////////// Long serve /// Overhead clear ////////// Smash ////// Score 21 - 15 Mrs Flanagan wins

Rating of skills

Skills 1 2 3 4 5 Comment Ready position I have a good ready position. My left foot is in front of my right. My right arm with my racket is high and in front ready to hit the shuttle. I look balanced. Short serve I use the serve most as I can bring my opponent forward then either smash or overhead clear on the next shot. Long serve I don’t use the long serve as much as the short serve. It is not accurate enough in pinning my opponent to the back of the court. Overhead clear I am average at moving my player to the back of the court during rally’s. Smash I won 6 points with a smash. This is average. I need to get more powerful with my smash as this is an attacking shot and will win me more points. Movement around the court I have a very good level of aerobic endurance to keep working and moving around the court. I have good agility to change direction at speed. Knowledge of scoring I am very good at keeping the score, knowing who serves and what side of the court we are serving from. Strengths

  • Short serve because I use this the most to control my opponent
  • Movement around the court as I have very good level of aerobic endurance to keep working and moving around the court. I have good agility to change direction at speed.
  • Ready position is good. I show good balance and I am good at concentrating and focusing on my opponent’s next move. Areas to improve
  • Short serve is a weakness as not many serves are done with this technique. I am not as confident and accurate with this serve.
  • Smash is average, I can perform them well but not often. I need to put more smash’s in my game so I can play very attacking and make my opponent work really hard by coming forward to the net more.
  • Power is an area of fitness I need to improve. If I improve the power in my arms/bicep and tricep my smash will be more effective and I will use it more often. I will also improve my long serve as it will get closer to the back of the court.
