Week of Monday 18

This week our home learning will focus around money. We will be sorting and recognising the value of coins and notes. We will begin to recognise and use the symbols for £ and p. We will explore ordering coins as well as counting different coins.
LI: To sort coins and recognize the value of all coins in
current use today.
Success Criteria
- I can recognise a 1p,2p,5p,10p,20p,50p, £1 and £2 coin
- I can draw the correct coin
- I can record the value of the given coin in p
We use money everyday to pay for things that we need
when we go shopping. It is important that we are able to
recognize each coin and know the value of it.
How many coins can you name in 30 seconds?
Challenge You have 1 minute to name all the coins we have just explored.
Activity On the next slide copy and draw the picture of the correct coin next to the value it is worth.
