Our teacher asked us if what our first thought is about our subject which is Empowerment Technologies. For me, it is somehow positive and negative. It is negative because we tend to sleep late at night and we can’t eat properly due to our tasks. And it is somehow positive because we learned a lot. We learned how to use not just computers but also some blogging platforms and other stuff related to computer that we can use someday. There were some interesting discoveries I made while working on my projects and that was the need of focus. There were a lot of problems and challenges that I’ve encountered, about myself and my groupmates. The most challenging moment I’ve encountered was when communicating to my groupmates. It was challenging because I’m scared to share my own ideas, thoughts and opinions about the tasks that were given to us. Because they may reject the ideas that I shared.
The most powerful learning moments for me was learning how to adjust. Little by little, I adjusted and started to communicate and sharing my ideas to my groupmates. The most important thing I learned personally was communicating is a big contribution when dealing with other people especially when working something in school. In facing with the ultimate problem, what I realized was that teamwork is really important but sometimes, it is better to do the work all alone. I came up with the best solution through approaching my groupmates and helping them. I feel that my solution relates to the real world’s problems through learning how necessary the communication is. Just like the government, it is necessary to communicate to their fellow citizens. It is what we call transparency.
Me and my team communicates but not the way our teacher expected us to do. We had difficulties when communicating because of our different opinions. And my collaborative communications fell apart of my group’s expectations when I can’t share my opinions, thoughts and ideas. Because I’m known as a talkative and loud person. I just can’t share my thoughts really well because I’m scared that they may reject it.
