β-Pseudouridine: An Isomer of Nucleoside Uridine with Biological Significance, Exams of Chemistry

Β-pseudouridine, also known as pseudouridine, is a nucleoside isomer of uridine found in various rna species except mrna. It interacts with aminoacyl transferases and has been suggested to reduce radiation-induced chromosome aberrations in human lymphocytes. Description
β-Pseudouridine, also called Pseudouridine, NSC 162405, is an isomer of the nucleoside
uridine found in all species and in many classes of RNA except mRNA. Besides the application
of studying tRNA interactions with aminoacyl transferases, studies also suggest that it reduces
radiation-induced chromosome aberrations in human lymphocytes.
