Write all of your spelling words forwards and then backwards. Write neatly. Example: where erehw Spelling homework will be completed in a packet that will go home on the first day of each week. Students are asked to choose one activity per day from the following task cards to be completed in the spelling packet. The packet should be turned in on the morning before the test. Spelling tests will be given on the last day of the school week. Spelling flashcards should be located in the T.E.A.M Binder zipper pouch. Each week students will have specific apeling tasks to Rainbow write all of your spelling words. Write each word first in pencil. Then trace over each word three times. Each time you trace, you must use a DIFFERENT color. Write ten silly sentences using a spelling word in each sentence. Please underline your spelling words! Write neatly! Example: My dog wears a blue and purple dress when he takes a bath. Draw and color a picture. Hide your spelling words inside your picture. If you have free time later, you can have a member of your table team try to locate your words!

Practice sorting your words.
Remember to sort by patterns within the word rather than same first letter or same last letter. Please make sure you write neatly! Use all ten of your spelling words. Come up with a code for each letter of the alphabet. Write the code on a separate sheet of paper. *Example: A= B= C= Then write as many of your spelling words as you would like in code. You must write the actual spelling word next to the “code word.”

Your letters can have curly-q’s or dots, for example. Have fun! Print all ten of your spelling words. Then write each word in cursive. First write your spelling word normally. Then rewrite your spelling word. This time write the vowels in lowercase and the consonants in uppercase. *Example- lower LoWeR
Use a thesaurus to write a synonym (words that have the same, or almost the same meaning) for each word. Ex: stone, rocks Use a dictionary to write a definition for each difficult word. If there are only a few, please write the remainder of your words two times for practice.
