If you are hit from the front... ✔✔It is important to try and have a 'glancing blow' rather than being stuck head on. This means that if a collision issuing to happen, you should try to turn the

vehicle. At worse, you hit with a glancing blow. If your vehicle has an air bag, it will inflate. It will deflate after the crash, so be ready to prevent hitting anything else.

At the scene of an accident... ✔✔- Stop your vehicle at or near the accident sight. If your vehicle can move, get it off the road.

  • Do not stand or walk in traffic lanes.
  • Turn off the ignition of wrecked vehicles and don't smoke.
  • If there are power lines down in the road, don't go near them.

-Make sure that other traffic will not be involved in the crash.

If someone is injured, ✔✔- Get help. Call the police and emergency medical.

  • Do not move the injured unless the vehicle is burning or they are in immediate danger of being hit by another vehicle.
  • First help anyone who isn't walking and talking. Check for breathing and then bleeding.
  • Apply pressure to the wound with a cloth or your hand.
  • Do not give injured person water or anything to drink.
  • Cover them with a blanket to keep them warm in order to prevent shock.
