Patrick Pearse was one leader of the Irish Nationalist, it began when he took men to the Post Office on Easter Monday in 1916, time after he died in Kilmainham Prison in Dublin. e. Saint Patrick was a man who went to French were learned about God in a monastery, then he came back to Ireland to teach the Irish about God. He made Ireland an important Christian country. f. William of Orange was a King of Ireland after James the Second, he won the Battle of the Boyne against the Catholic, and the Protestant Orangemen called him “King Billy”.

Complete this report about Celts and Vikings in Ireland, using the words below (one word for each gap). ago, attack, built, came, different, English, fighters, first, found, games, jewellery, language, monasteries, north, Norway, Spain, speak, stole, Ulster, Wales, Waterford Both the Celts and the Vikings came to Ireland from other countries – the Celts from France and Spain , the Vikings from Norway. Both were strong fighters , but the Celts also made beautiful jewellery. The Celts arrived first , thousands of years ago. They brought with the Celtic games , like hurling, and also music. The Irish language , which some people still speak in Ireland today, is Celtic too, but it is very different from English. There are other Celtic languages in Wales , Scotland, and parts of Europe. The Vikings began to attack Ireland around 800. Often, they attacked the monasteries and stole the beautiful things that they found there. But some Vikings stayed and built towns. Waterford , Dublin and Cork were all Vikings towns. They also went to live in the north of Ireland in Ulster. 5. Choose a city or part of Ireland that you would like to visit. Find some more information about it, and make a poster or give a talk to your class. Look for answers to these questions: What do you know about its history, famous people, or famous places? Honestly, I don’t know too much about Dublin, but the only famous person who I know he born there is Oscar Wilde, he is remembered for his epigrams and plays, and for his novel “The Picture of Dorian Gray”. What do people make or do in this part of Ireland? Dublin is a place with a lot of history, is famous for their cathedrals, pubs and historical museums, so I think is necessary visit them. What can visitors see or do there? They can visit St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Library of Trinity College, Christ Church Cathedral, Kilmainham Gaol Prison, walk across Ha’Penny Bridge. Why would you like to go there? Because I think is a beautiful and quite city with too much history.
