TotalCare Bariatric Plus Therapy System combines all the features from the TotalCare Bed System, along with additional benefits to assist in managing the needs of plus sized patients.

Progressive Mobility and dignity

Getting patients moving throughout their stay, and preserving their

dignity at every turn.

In bed

• The single post patient-helper trapeze allows patients to

reposition themselves in bed. Designed to enhance safety,

it is locked in a central position behind the headboard.

• The FlexAfoot retractable foot mechanism allows the

bed system to be customised to the patient’s height.

• Continuous Lateral Rotation Therapy (CLRT) and

Percussion/Vibration (P&V) therapy can easily be

administered to help clear secretions from the lungs.

Up in chair

FullChair position provides the benefits of “up in chair”

without moving the patient. Because the frame and

surface are integrated, FullChair positioning is achieved

with just the touch of a button. This feature minimises the

risk of injury to the patient and the caregiver.

• Cradle Transition provides improved support for larger

patients as they move into the FullChair position.

Standing up

• Seat and foot deflate gently lowers the patient

to a safe distance from the floor.

• Chair Egress permits safer, easier patient egress,

both at foot end and on the side, with less risk

of injury for caregivers.

Safety and efficiency

Protecting patients and caregivers, whilst helping to

deliver care more efficiently.

Integrated air surfaces redistribute patient weight over

the contact areas of their body, helping to minimise

tissue damage and reduce the risk of pressure ulcers.

• Responding to the patient’s weight, the air system

automatically adjusts the pressures.

• Opti-Rest provides a soothing, wave-like comfort modality

that continues to provide pressure redistribution.

• Max Inflate quickly inflates the surface for enhanced

patient handling.

• The integrated air surface makes it easy to administer

Continuous Lateral Rotation Therapy (CLRT) and

Percussion/Vibration (P&V) therapy at a touch of a button.

• Advanced Microclimate™ Management helps remove

excess heat and moisture accumulation for cooler,

dryer skin.

The surface also provides additional protection.

• The multi-layered foam surface has a soft top layer for

patient comfort as well as a supportive bottom layer.

• It also provides special protection for the heel area via

expandable visco elastic foam.

• This foam surface is designed to provide pressure

redistribution in all bed positions, including FullChair.
