PINK DOLPHIN
The pink dolphin is also known as bufeo,
boto or Amazon dolphin and is the largest
river dolphin species.
There are three subspecies: Bolivian pink
dolphin, Amazon pink dolphin and Orinoco
pink dolphin.
HABITAT AND GEOGRAPHIC AREA
Inhabits the rivers and lagoons of the upper
basin of the Amazon and Orinoco rivers
below 400 meters above sea level.
In only lives freshwater. In addition to
avoiding rivers, it also adapts to living in
areas of flooded formations connected to
rivers.
FEATURES
Head: It is prominent with 180-
degree movement capacity due
to the lack of cervical vertebrae;
