Why Tesla

Maybe their names do not sound like anything, but one Marc Tarpenning, along with the American engineer Martin Eberhard, were the real responsible for starting the company that today we know as Tesla. It was later when they joined the company names of the size of J.B. Straubel, Ian Wright and Elon Musk. Let's know more about the history of this company.
Tesla was born back in 2003 with a small Silicon Valley company called AC Propulsion. They started developing the project of an electric vehicle called T-Zero that allowed an autonomy of up to 300 kilometers.
Joining this autonomy to the four seconds it took to get from 0 to 100 km / hour this T-Zero, Elon Musk could not help but be amazed by this car and ended up contributing to the project. To put us in a position, remember that only a year before Elon Musk had been involved in the purchase of PayPal by eBay, an operation that was estimated at 1,500 million dollars. Of that figure, Musk took about ten percent.
With the passage of time, Elon Musk's participation in AC Propulsion became more and more important until there came a time when he ended up investing millions in the company, causing a meteoric rise in the table of the leaders until it was the CEO of the company.
If the first movements were developed during 2003, it was not until 2006 that the "mortals" knew something about the existence of this company. During that time, they were kept hidden by industrial espionage, making very few people aware of their existence. It was at that moment when the Tesla Roadster arrived, which can be considered as Tesla's first electric car.
They appeared before the world as a revolutionary of the sector with their Tesla Roadster receiving recognition even from Time magazine, declaring it the best transportation invention of that year.
A two-seater lower than 4 meters with removable roof was created. Its autonomy was superior to 300 kilometers (EPA) and with its 250 HP it had a remarkable power to be an electric car. The company's first car was based on Lotus Elise but decided that, instead of using fiberglass, it would be covered with carbon fiber.
The Tesla Roadster was officially presented to the public on July 19, 2006 in Santa Monica, California, and only 350 people were invited for the event.

When they started with the project, they did not want to depend on third parties, so they decided that they would develop the motor, batteries, electronics and processors on their own, including the programs and algorithms needed for the vehicle.
The team, being aware of the energy losses of the complementary systems, redesigned the air conditioning system and the air conditioning system so that, together with the temperature management of the batteries, their productivity was even greater.
With almost 300 patents behind it, the Tesla Roadster was manufactured from 2008 to 2011. Two versions were made, one Standard with a base price of 109, dollars and another Sport costing 128,000 dollars of output; Up to 2012 the sales figure amounted to 2,400 units worldwide.
Due to these successes, other brands decided to move forward with the future of transport such as Daimler in 2009 when it bought 10% of the company or in 2010 Toyota combined forces with Tesla supplying components and sharing technologies. Soon after, even Panasonic joined forces to develop better batteries, an agreement that is still valid today.
With all these data and alliances, the dome was able to focus the project and go a step further as they were with the manufacturing plans of a luxury sedan, more familiar use and that's how the Tesla Model S arrived.
In the middle of the 2008 crisis, this vehicle is scheduled for that year and due to evident financial problems, the company decided to dismiss a quarter of its employees and close the engineering office that was located in Michigan.
After this important setback, they receive 465 million dollars from the Department of Energy of the United States (in 2009), by participating in the program of assistance for advanced technologies for vehicles.
During those years they were working with that money until in 2011 they presented Tesla Model S offering a capacity to locate 5 adults and 2 children sitting in opposite rear seats.
While it is true that Roadster focused on a specific sector of society, with this new model, they implied that Tesla Motors would now encompass a much broader target of society.
In 2010 they went public for $ 17 and the value of their shares increased enormously, causing the Tesla Model S to be a success in reserves. To give you an

CEO of SpaceX and Tesla Motors, president of SolarCity and co-president of OpenAI, says he intends to change the world trying to paralyze the global warming process by abandoning fossil fuels by renewable energies, and reduce the risk of possible extinction of the human race through evolution towards a "multiplanetary civilization" creating a permanent human colony on Mars of around one million people.
100 most influential people in the world and in December 2016, he was named the 21st most powerful person in the world by Forbes magazine. In 2017 his fortune was estimated at almost 14 billion US dollars.
On August 7, 2018, Musk threatened from his Twitter account to withdraw Tesla from the stock market, ensuring that he had sufficient funds to repurchase all outstanding shares at a price of $ 420 each (a top 23% of his stock). value at the time of publishing the message). The threat did not materialize and Musk confirmed that the company would continue to be listed because "its investors want it." In September, the US Securities and Exchange Commission accused him of fraud for making that announcement without being willing to comply. The lawsuit pointed to his tweet as false, deceptive and damaging to investors, and tried to prevent Musk from serving as CEO in listed companies. Days later, an agreement was reached with the SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission, US regulator of the markets) being forced to resign as president of Tesla within 45 days, and fined with Tesla with $ 20 million each.
He had five children (twins and triplets) with his first wife, Canadian author Justine Wilson, whom he met when they both studied at Queen's University. They married in the year 2000 and separated in 2008. He announced the end of the relationship with his second wife, the British actress Talulah Riley in January 2012. In April 2017, he made his first public appearance with his partner, the actress Amber Heard during her stay in Australia. On May 7, 2018, Musk and Canadian singer Grimes revealed that they had started dating.
The research was done thanks to certain motivations, which are directed to answer the questions that most people have about the Tesla brand, about how the company is structured, what are its main values, about why Tesla is focuses on what is focused, because we believe that the market will change and above all because they mean both this issue and type of innovation for the environment.
As we know nowadays the biggest problem is the global warming, so in order to make a solution a lot of big businesses started to use green energy, and one of the biggest examples of this is the enterprise we are mainly talking about “TESLA”.
Tesla is a company who really thinks in this, and take actions for that, so we want to prove that the products (electric cars) they do helps to solve this problem , and in order to be more specific , we are going to show the next pros against normal cars about it:
And in the road of this investigation we are going to demonstrate if these pros are real, and maybe we are going to find even more things about Tesla, and why is better than a common gas car.

sales and installation of your solar panels, especially the majority of our thesis is based on finding the main differences between electric cars & internal combustion, how these cars are built to be note the difference in terms of pollution that is referred to and why for us as a team we are the best option to take care of the planet, and why this company is so praised.
How does Tesla as company and their Cars work? And because of that are they better than a common car that uses combustion?
tesla has a pretty unique way of “selling” themselves they have a really unique vision in marketing personally we think Their marketing its very unique because of how they think in not just there self or money, they make an effort to make our world better, in fact they instead of highering their prices they try lowering them to make easier that people can buy their cars and reduce the conventional gas cars in the world to try putting their part in the reduction of pollution in the world, the first car Tesla sold was the roadster which had a price of 200,000$ dls – 250,000$ dls they sold that car from 2008-2012 it was a full luxury car not really available to a lot of people in fact there where only 2,450 cars made and with the revenue made with that car they made the model S and the model X a more familiar, practical and “affordable” car at a price range of 91,000$ dls – 110,000$ dls which sold 263, of the model S and 120,739 of the model X and now in their third fase as they call it, they made the model 3 which starts at 30,000$ dls and they doesn’t sacrifice quality that’s why everybody loves them it has already sold 147,857, as musk says “the trick is to not pay for advertising” they don’t have a single advertisement “make incredible cars so the word spreads and play hard to get”.
Also now talking more specifically of sales in tesla the global sales since 2012 have been over 532,000 vehicles from which over 245,000 where delivered in 2018, 138% more than in 2017, Tesla’s sales represent 20/30% of all the electric cars in the world, in 2018 tesla won the price of worlds top selling plug in cars, now a days Tesla has quite a bit of dealerships around the world but at the end of 2019 Tesla it’s trying to make it a full online store so it can be easier to buy it without having to go to a dealership because for example in Mexico there is only 1 in Mexico City and making it online it’s their way to make it easier to acquire without caring where you live sending your car to wherever you live, because today one of the problems

with Tesla is that deliveries vary significantly by month due to regional issues such as ship availability and registration. Quoting something we found in Wikipedia “ Tesla is the only automaker that sells cars directly to consumers; all others use independently-owned dealerships, although many provide online configuration and financing. 48 states have laws that limit or ban manufacturers from selling vehicles directly to consumers, and although Tesla has no independent dealerships, dealership associations in multiple states have filed lawsuits over Tesla's sales practices” which is a really interesting information that we wanted to share, Tesla also have a really good used cars sells because they have a policy really similar to the German luxury cars with a 40/60% of reimbursement of their initial price and now im going to cite Wikipedia again because its a pretty exact info “May 2015, Tesla started selling refurbished Model S cars in the U.S. and within a month sold 1,600 cars. As of July 2017, over 80 used Model S and Model X cars were for sale, with either a four-year, 50,000-mile warranty or a two-year, 100,000-mile warranty for vehicles above 50,000 miles. As of September 2015, similar programs existed in Canada, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Britain, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland”
Our methodology is governed by an investigation which could be considered almost automatic as a quantitative methodology, absolutely all the data as
the questions will be addressed so that the investigation can be carried out in the two types of cars and they will be the following to arrive at a conclusion in which we find under the most neutral circumstances which the best option is.
Combustion car Electric car Power: 106/5600 hp/rpm 524/0 hp/rpm Torque: 105/4000 pound/foot 387/0 pound/foot Performance: 16 KM/L 540 km Tank capacity: 35 L= 560 KM 100 kWh Pollution: 110 grams of CO2 per kilometer 0 Full tank: 700$ = 35 L Before it was free, but now in Mexico at least is 560$ for the full tank
In terms of fire risk safety, the Tesla models and all the tesla cars has a big advantage, and is the use of no combustion energy, and by statistics there are around a quarter million gasoline cars fires in just USA, and the results of this is 400 deaths and 1200 people with lethal injuries.
The Tesla Model S just had three accidents that involved fire, and that happened because the drivers were going at very high speed, and none of these three had serious injuries and even though there is no comparison between a quarter million accidents and three accidents, Tesla had the headlines in all he news, overreacting from the media saying bad marketing for Tesla.
But what about safety in general? , well the Tesla Model S is the safest car in the road, because the only way you can be injured is by driving at a really high speed
and it haven’t pass any death in a Tesla Model S, that’s why this car is achieved as the lowest probability of injury of any car ever tested by the US government.
Even thought, Tesla is always improving, there are three specific actions in order to make the car safer:
They have rolled out an over air update in order to improve the air suspension that will result in a greater ground clearance at highway speeds. So basically is an advantage about an impact damage an improvement in the material of the car relating to the fire accidents, while is almost impossible to have a fire accident, they don’t want to risk to have one external fire problem, and by that they would do the car even more safe against the fire. They are still searching for that material, and they said that when they find it, they will immediately apply it to the new car And the last one is a policy about covering thee damage due to fire, even if it is related to a driver error, unless they do it on purpose.
In conclusion we think that Tesla is making a great job improving and modernizing the car industry in almost every way, car manufacturing, safety, technology, sales methods, marketing, performance, etc. And they are trying to help our planet reduce pollution and gas demand, by making great options and available to a lot of people maybe, and with the pass of the years we know they will keep the great work, improve, and make cars affordable to every person with top of the line technology and design, also we think that year by year it will keep coming up in popularity and sales. And now attacking the “which type of car is better” problem if the electric or de combustion type we think it’s pretty obvious that the electric car is better in almost every aspect especially Tesla for example in terms of cost, performance, security, comfort, status, less pollution, etc. But we know it’s just a market in progress that keeps growing day by day and there is a lot of skepticism around it.
