Parkinson’s Law
“The work expands until the time
available for its completion is
finished”.
Basically, Parkinson's law says that if you
give yourself a week to complete a two-
hour task, then the task will increase in
complexity and less motivating to fill that
week.
For months you get
"paralyzed" without
being able to work and
suddenly, you start
working quickly to finish
a task just ahead of time.
How to use Parkinson's Law for your
benefit
Set a difficult time limit.
Blackmail yourself.
Don't take work home.
Create restrictions to
create freedom.
Using Parkinson's law to
achieve difficult goals.
Although it is not specified
in the official Parkinson's
theory, you can use the
inverse rule to increase
the quality of your work.
Example:
You have had a
whole week to
communicate
something important
although you have
done it at the last
possible moment.
The Basics of
Parkinson's Law
If the job expands to fill
the planned time to
finish it, plan less time
to work quickly.

Principle 10/ 10% of life is related to what we passes, and 90% of life is related to the way in how we react. We really have no control over 10% of what happens to us. 90% control it by reacting to the present event. An example, you go to school but fast because you are going to be late, in the course a shoe hole is released and you fall and that makes you not arrive on time at the truck stop and you can not get on the truck to arrive on time. That fall would be your 10% that you don't control. If someone insults you, do not take it too much, react appropriately and you will not ruin your life, a bad reaction and I can cost you dearly.
