Good afternoon to all viuers of the enerteiment section of the channel "XXI Century News".
It is a pleasure for me to introduce my team, we are Laninger Calderon, Karen Quiñones,
Ana Vergel, Sergio Carvajalino, Yeiny Galvis and me, Salomé Pertuz.

Today we are going to talk about the influence generated by the musical genre "reggaeton",
since nowadays, there are many signs against it. We want to analyze everything that
characterizes this genre and how much can influence young people.
We are in the XXI century, it is time to catch up on this musical genre that generates
controversy in society…
3. PROBLEMATIC QUESTION – SALOMÉ
The question we will develop in today’s broadcast will be: Does reggaeton really have a
negative influence on the students' behaviour at UPB?
4. ORIGIN AND DEFINITION – LANINGER
Reggaeton arose from the cultural and musical exchange that took place in the eighties
between Panama, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. In addition, it begins to be an
accepted rhythm and disseminated by the media since the year 2000.
Reggaeton as a musical genre is a cultural element and is a result of contemporary ways of
life. In turn, this product modifies society itself, because it groups it in different ways,
generates groups of belonging, produces alienation, implants values, ideals, spreads them,
generates social and commercial models and idols to be imitated with possibly its discourse
of power. of being and making one's own, imposing, inserting new social actors, generating
new beliefs, all with the consequent resignification of music, forming a cycle of constant
resignification.
5. WHAT’S THE CONTENT? REGGAETON - KAREN
- Reggaeton is a musical genre mainly aimed at teenagers and young people.
- Reggaeton has caused controversy in critics and researchers for the content of its
lyrics and for its particular way of being danced.
- The content present in the reggaeton literature has an impact on the lifestyle and
relationships of adolescents and young people, as a sign of a new social discourse,
