JEAN PIERRE: GOOD MORNING TEACHER AND CLASSMATES,
NOW WE ARE GOING TO PRESENT OUR CONVERSATION ABOUT
HEALTH, MONEY AND THE VALUES.
Jean Pierre: Hello Franchezca these days I have been feeling very bad,
the pandemic is driving me crazy and I don’t know What to do to
clear my mind. I’m looking forward to finding a new job this
weekend. You know, I’m a very stressful person.
Franchezca: I see my friend. In my case I’m studying for my
university exam and I wanted to drop in on you to say hello. You
must be exhausted. Incidentally, the pandemic is causing several
problems about the stress.
Jean Pierre: You’re totally right! I’m coming down with stress about
pandemic. By the way, I was fired from my job, I have to pay debts,
but my credit cards no longer have enough money. Obviously, I
didn’t know how to save my money and I wasn’t careful in the
unnecessary expenses that I made.
Franchezca: Really? One common error people make is spending
money on ítems they don’t need. Although you have had enough
money, you didn't save it By the way, according to Ministry of
Health statistics, stress is causing many deaths in times of pandemic.
Because, people not only look for a job, but also they are infected
of COVID – 19. You should wait that the level of contagion stop a
bit.
Jean Pierre: Yes, Franchezca the health need to be the most
important, but how can reduce this stress? I’m worried about getting
a job. I have to get a job and earn money to spend it on my debts If
not…
Franchezca: Oh! I can offer my help. For instance, why don't you
practice yoga? You can pay for online yoga classes. It’s very beneficial
for the mind. Also you feel free and you can come up with better
ideas later. Is it ok?
Jean Pierre: Can I pick up on your first point again, please? I’m
distracted
Franchezca: From the next week you will be doing yoga classes. Don’t
worry, because this activity will reduce your stress and you will be
happy. You know about yoga, right?
Jean Pierre: Really? I know about it. That must have been difficult
and boring. I prefer stay at my home sad and bored.
Franchezca: Mmm… What can you tell me about it?

Jean Pierre: First , yoga is a tradition that is related to both religión and culture. Then, yoga isn’t well understood and is rarely practices in other parts of the world. And then , yoga was developed as a spiritual practice thousands of years ago, it is easy to practice but you need patience and good coordination with your mind and body. I can’t do it! Franchezca: No, men! In fact , yoga has different versions, my mother who are in the same problem is practicing for 2 or 3 hours, approximately. For example , in India this activity is practiced a lot in traditional styles such as hatha and Sivadanda yoga to modern versions such as chair and laughter yoga. For fans of yoga, it is the ultimate workout because it involves both the body and the mind. Jean Pierre: Oh! That must be fun. Due to lack of money, I have not been able to do or buy anything to calm my stress, but that data catches my attention. What are the benefits of doing yoga? Franchezca: Well, I’m not quite sure that yoga is a sport but more than that it is a great discipline for the body and mind. Here are the benefits: For one thing , it helps you be more flexible, stronger, and it relieves stress. For another , you can sleep more time and comfortable. And for another , you will be in a good mood every day. What’s more , yoga style meditation called yoga nidra can be very relaxing Jean Pierre: Yes, my friend. I’m researching that. Also , some yoga teachers claim that just a half an hour of yoga nidra is equivalent to two or three hours of sleep. It seems to me that with yoga I can improve my concentration in my things. Franchezca: That must be really challenging. It is best that the mind be relax, also your body from the stress that you have. You need to be constant with the training. You know, all of the sports are very beneficial for the health. Jean Pierre: Obviously, Each of us needs to do many sports to relax the mind. So, I promise you. But, how much do you know about yoga? Franchezca: Mmm, thanks to yoga I was able to strengthen my courage, since, like you, I suffered from stress due to a hard experience in my life that affected my mental health. Trying to confort the experience, doing yoga was the first advice for a profesional. Jean Pierre: Do you mind if I ask you what was the experience about?
